travelers insurance, insurance agent My girlfriend was telling me about a vacation horror story, which actually turned out on a positive note because of travelers insurance. As the story was told one of the guys she works with went to Costa Rica a month ago for vacation. He went with a friend and the both were pumped to see monkeys. After getting there and having a cab driver take them to their hotel, the unthinkable happened. From how I understand it, the cab driver brought them to their hotel and after they paid and got out, the driver through it in gear and shot out of there with the two friend’s luggage still in the back. Whether or not the guy knew he still had their luggage is up for debate.

Bottom line is the first few hours in Costa Rica their entire wardrobe was lost. I don’t know about the friend but the guy who works with my girlfriend had travelers insurance. After a call to the insurance agent, a claim was filed and he received cash for his lost clothes once back. I guess he wasn’t to mad because it was an opportunity to buy a new wardrobe.
