travel insurance, compare travel insuranceI have traveled quite a bit over the years and never felt the need for travel insurance. Most of the time everything went well. A friend of mine was not that lucky. She planned an elaborate trip to Europe to see Italy, Germany and Switzerland and it was a very expensive trip. She told me that she never goes on a trip like that without buying travel insurance and she always buys it online. The last time she  started her trip her baggage was lost at the very start of the trip and she had to shop for clothes at every stop she made in her travels. It certainly was a huge inconvenience but at the end of the trip she was  paid for everything she had bought and also for everything that was in her luggage. Replacing all those things would have been very costly for her and she would not have been able to afford to do it without insurance.
I am going on a trip very soon and I have gone on line to compare travel insurance and have found it is very reasonable and worth buying for the peace of mind. I have also bought trip cancellation insurance just in case something unforeseen happens and I can't take the trip.
