From the time I started traveling out of country I have always made sure I had travel insurance. It just made sense to me to spend a little money to insure I did not have to spend a lot if something went wrong. I have yet to have to use it, but I don’t consider it money wasted. Over the years I have known too many people who did not buy travel insurance and paid the price. For some reason people who have all the reason to buy travel insurance don’t. It is like they think nothing is going to happen because they are on vacation. Even knowing they have a pending health issue they don’t buy the insurance they need. One lady I know decided to save a few dollars by not buying insurance. She spent all but the first two day's of her vacation in the hospital. She saved a few bucks only to spend thousands. I am never taking that type of chance, vacation or not. If something, anything goes wrong I want to be covered.
