The results were published in MediaPost Publications and stated that out of the 3,700 people who partook in the study 43 percent of people from around the world said they were going to purchase travelers insurance sometime within the next year. At the American level, 35 percent said they planned to buy coverage for a trip within the next year.

15 percent of the people from America said they are going to buy travelers insurance because the uncertain economic times. Booking a trip seems to go hand in hand with purchasing travel insurance according to the study. This makes sense because people want to do everything in one swoop when paying for a vacation. More than half of the American participants said they would compare travel insurance quotes before buying. The numbers speak for themselves.
