Canadians Rejecting Travelers Insurance to America |

A recent Canadian National poll found most Canadians who travel into the United States avoid buying travelers insurance. I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the positive side not purchasing travelers insurance shows that they are not worried about their safety or the scheduling of their flights when coming into the states but on the other hand, no insurance is not usually the best answer.
The study found that most Canadians feel their job or credit cards adequately protect them. I have stressed this point before but credit cards will not pay back money from tickets cancelled due to circumstances they do not control. This news came from itij.co.uk which also stated 42.7 percent of Canadians say they usually buy travelers insurance when coming traveling to America.
The funny part about the article is that it stressed the importance of travelers insurance when coming here because of the rising costs of healthcare. This is something that is generally not covered by American news sources. No matter where you are going, it is smart to be protected.
